Sound and Light 2026

Deepagam Kalaikuzhu performed a series of annual Sound and Light 2026 during Lent 2026 in the following Chennai parishes: (Feb. 27 - Royapettah); (Mar. 6 - Nungambakkam); (Mar. 13 - Perambur); (Mar. 20 - Kodambakkam); (Mar. 21 - SFX, Broadway); (Mar. 24 - St Mary's, Parry's); and (Mar. 27 - Ayanavaram); This year, The Sound and Light 2026 is a sort of sci-fi, at least from its plot setting. A couple of investigative lawyers sent back in time on a mission by a modern-day judge to investigate an ‘ancient crime’: the gruesome killing of Jesus of Nazareth. The plot moves in high resonance with an investigative approach ending in inculpating morality. The passion of Jesus is personalized with the spiritually evocative devotional song "Enakaagavo?" as playback for the Stations of the Cross.
