Deepagam Meeting with Generation Z Youth

The Kristhava Marumalarchi Iyakkam (Christian Renaissance Movement) - CRMI is a social and religious welfare organization based in Tamil Nadu that that had a dialogue with several Generation Z youth at Deepagam during the meeting convened on June 11, 2026 (from 4:30 PM to 6:40 PM). Fr. Jesudoss, Director welcomed the twenty-strong participants and appreciated the voluntary initiative of the laity to dialogue with Gen Z youth today. He said that ‘students and youth are surprising everyone’ with their attitude of concern and zeal for social transformation. The meeting participants were reviewing the change effected by the recent assembly election and were searching for the reasons that had brought about political change in Tamil Nadu. Youth shared that transparent ideologies must be in congruence with reality. They were averse to the hate politics today. It is no longer the political image created by filmdom that spearheads the change – the youth expressed. Likewise, worship and life of faith must go hand-in-hand in the society. The society today is not any more patriarchal or matriarchal; rather, the families, by and large, have become child-centered.
