Village Advent Recollection - Polur

On December 18, 2023, we went to Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at Polur for three-day village ministry. On the first day, we went to Pudupalayam village (Polur sub-station) with LED Unit vehicle (lend by Vazhigaati); Fr. Director visited the houses surrounding the chapel and invited people to come for the advent recollection. At 6:30 PM, we screened videos of devotional hymns and Ten Commandments. As the videos were played in the background, Fr. Director and Catechist Santo was preparing the people for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Nativity scenes from the movie, Jesus of Nazareth was screened for the villagers, while they were confessing. After the sacrament of confession, mass was celebrated. The day’s program was also repeated in Murugabadi chapel (December 19) and Polur Parish church (December 20) to prepare people for the Christmas.
