PERAMBUR, CHENNAI — JUNE 14, 2025: The Marian Pious Movement Animation Program was conducted for the Perambur Parish in the INM Chennai Region on June 14, 2025. Fr. Jesudoss SDB, Director of Deepagam, addressed the members of the Legion of Mary, Perambur Curia, on the theme: Legion of Mary Promises — A Call to Union with the Blessed Virgin Mary for a Life of Holiness and Service.

The session featured a series of inspiring talk that focused on:

1. The call within the Legion of Mary
2. The Legion's promises as the fullness of the Spirit, akin to the Pentecostal event
3. The three pillars of the Legion's promises (humility, divine motherhood, Marian communion)
4. The higher call to the salvation of humankind
5. Holiness and trust in God’s plan
6. Steadfast service with commitment in the Legion
7. The Holy Trinity and the Marian community

During the interactive discussion segment, Legion members personally responded to questions posed by the animator, exchanged reflections, and wrote down their own resolutions—each pointing toward a deeper, more active commitment to the Legion of Mary.

In his concluding remarks, the animator emphasized, “The Legion of Mary is not an ordinary pious association. It is a divine call to holiness and mission.” He urged legionnaires—both men and women—to unite with Mary and joyfully take Jesus Christ to the world with the divine guidance of the Holy Spirit.

He also shared future plans from Deepagam, including Illam Thedi Irai Arasu, as part of a broader vision for the lay ministry through the Legion of Mary.

The program revitalized both the Perambur Curia and its associated Praesidia, deepening their devotion to the Blessed Virgin and inspiring them to live in a spiritually grounded, interiorly transformative way within the pious association.

Note: Legion of Mary is a lay (pious) association of Catholics who serve under the leadership of Mary Immaculate and follow the True Devotion of St. Louis de Montfort. It was founded in Dublin on 1921 as a Marian movement by the layman Frank Duff.
