DON BOSCO SHRINE, AYANAVARAM-CHENNAI, DECEMBER 15, 2024: In pursuance of Know Bible, Proclaim Christ drive, Deepagam, Don Bosco Catechetical Center (Kilpauk-Chennai), Aandavarin Adhikaalai Jebakuzhu, (Chrompet-Chennai), Boanergas Gospel Union Team (Chennai), Don Bosco Shrine (Ayanavaram-Chennai) has jointly organized Biblical Exhibition at St John Bosco Church, Ayanavaram, Chennai on Sunday, December 15, 2024 from morning 7:00 AM to evening 9:00 PM.

This was an ecumenical initiative by Deepagam, Don Bosco Catechetical Center at Salesian Chennai Province with the joint-collaboration of Boanergas Gospel Union, Lord’s Morning Prayer Group (ஆண்டவரின் அதிகாலை ஜெபக்குழு - Aandavarin Adhikaalai Jebakuzhu) and Don Bosco Shrine.

The exhibition program preluded by two-days of preparation for the post-Sunday celebration’s bible exhibition. About 600 parishioners who attended the Sunday masses viewed the exhibition with wonders and sense of awe-full devotion that transported them back to biblical world of Jerusalem temple. Almost the parishioners entered the mock Jerusalem temple and viewed its holy artifacts; namely, Ark of the Covenant, Mizbeach (Altar), Hanukkah menorah, Showbread Table (lechem panim), Temple Entrance and with lots of catchy Biblical Posters that were very informative to the viewers.

After the evening mass, the Gospel Team staged Jerusalem Temple movie show using an LCD Screen. Later, more than 100 parishioners took part in the open Bible Quiz, whose theme was focused on the temples in Jerusalem. The focus of the exhibition was: Solomon Temple, Temple of Ezekiel’s Dream and the Tent of the Meeting (prototype temple). Fr. Maria Louis SDB, Parish Priest, Ayanavaram Church blessed and inaugurated the Bible Exhibition, who thanked the organizers in his concluding remarks.

Commenting on the objective behind this ecumenical Bible Exhibition, Fr. Jesudoss, Director-Deepagam said, “To share Jesus Christ, we must know him and have Him in our life. Knowing bible is knowing Christ; and having Christ is living His life in our daily living.”

The general reaction to the exhibition by the viewers were: “It was an extraordinary biblical show, never seen before”, “it was very informative” and “the temples setup were very realistic and pricy”.
