SANTHOME, January 16, 2025: Deepagam has released new music album: Yethirnokkin Yilaighaney! Hoping Youth! (எதிர் நோக்கின் இளைஞனே!) on the occasion of Provincial Community Day – the feast of Chennai Salesian Togetherness celebrated at St. Bede’s Community of Schools, Santhome, Chennai.

INM (that is, Chennai Salesian Province) came together to celebrate the Provincial Community Day at St. Bede’s, Santhome. Rev. Fr. Don Bosco, Provincial, his counsellors, Silver Jubilarians (Priestly Ordination and Religious Profession) together with Religious and lay collaborators joined in the Eucharist Celebration.

Fr. Alex Thomas SDB in his sermon, broke the word (taken from Genesis 22:1-8 and Matthew 6:26-34) thus: The Pongal was celebrated with the hope that God will lead us in this New Year. INM is now “glorious Chennai Province” for its community spirit and life. This is evident in every day fidelity of the confreres living in brotherly love. United community and healthy community life is success of the mission assured; because, Jesus is the centre of the community. Salesian legacy / patrimony must be preserved and fostered for we must come back to the roots. Abraham, our father of faith was a model for having trust in divine providence. It should be kept in mind that hope and divine providence cannot be alienated.

Multimedia presentations on Silver Jubilarians’ (priestly ordination and religious profession) life testimonials were most inspiring and touchy. It manifested the Salesian Spirit and sound priestly character dedicated for the young people and Jesus Christ in the spirit of Don Bosco.

Rev. Fr. Don Bosco, Provincial called this day as “Feast of Salesian Togetherness”. He preferred to call this day as “Provincial Community Day” instead of “Province Community Day”. He gave his special message to the Salesian community and shared his fraternal appreciations for all the jubilee celebrants, which were remarkably candid.

SYMFEST Resolution Statement, two books (English Teaching guide) by Fr. Raj Michael SDB, Don Bosco Theological College’s (Kavarapettai) Publication on Church Renewal and Reformation (Volume 7), and a Doctoral Thesis were released on this day.

New music album, Yethirnokkin Yilaighaney! Hoping Youth! (எதிர் நோக்கின் இளைஞனே!) was released on the occasion of Jubilee 2025 (Pilgrims of Hope). The Music was jointly composed by Fr. Jesudoss, Fr. Deva Joe, Fr. Jerry, Fr. Raj Michael, and Fr. Balasingam. Lyrics were written by Fr. Jesudoss, Fr. Raj Michael, Fr. Balasingam, Fr. Jerry. Fr. M.A. Joe and Fr. Deva Joe. The sound track’s Music Director was Mr. X Paul Raj. The background to the Music Album is SYMFEST 2024-2025 held at Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur for Salesian youth hailing from SAARC countries. Yethirnokkin Yilaighaney is a latest release from Deepagam after a long hiatus.

Fr. Francis Sagaya Pinto, SDB on behalf of the Jubilee celebrants thanked all who were instrumental for the day with heartfelt gratitude. He termed the multimedia presentations produced by Fr. Ernest Rosario and DBICA as “life testimonies”.
